The European Commission renews the EC-BIC Brand to the BIC of Malaga BIC Euronova

The BIC of Malaga is recognised at European level by its operating model.
The BIC of Malaga, BIC Euronova, because of its operating model and because it has fulfilled its obligations in relation to the quality criteria required by the European Commission, has been given again the EC-BIC Brand managed by EBN, the European Business Innovation Centre Network.
The renewal of the EC-BIC Brand has coincided this year with the participation of the managing director of the BIC from Malaga, Álvaro Simón, as President of EBN in the 22nd annual EBN Congress which has been recently held in Derry-Londonderry (Northern Ireland) in order to address the digital, cultural and social innovation.
"The EC-BIC Brand is a distinguishing element which valuates at European level the activity of the BIC of Malaga, BIC Euronova, which has been promoting the creation and consolidation of innovative companies during 20 years with the intention of making the business of Malaga to be a European benchmark", pointed out Álvaro Simón.
In the mid 80s, the European Union developed a standard pattern of Business Innovation Centre. The designation "European Community Business and Innovation Centres (EC-BIC)" is a registered trademark transferred by the European Commission to EBN for its management. It offers a guarantee of fulfilling the powers linked to the proceedings of a BIC.
EBN (European Business and Innovation Centre Network)
EBN is the European Business and Innovation Centre Network which was founded 25 years ago and gathers more than 250 BICs throughout Europa, like BIC Euronova, the BIC of Malaga. Since October 2012, it is chaired by the managing director of BIC Euronova, Álvaro Simón.
