Alyvium® has won the Nutraingredients prestigious prizes under the Best Dietary Supplement category of the year in Europe.
These prizes, organised annually by William Reed Media, Europe’s leading in health ingredients industry, are delivered during the Vitafoods Fair, considered one of the most relevant in Europe. Three were the finalists elected by an Expert Committee and, finally, and after the vote of the readers of the publication, Solvitae with its product Alyvium®, the sole Spanish representative at the ceremony, won the prize.
Alyvium® has been developed in collaboration with Genosa (company from Málaga), situated in Andalucía Technology Park, and incubated in BIC Euronova. Also a dermatologist’s team from the Vitah Xanit Clinic in Costa del Sol. “We are really excited because we have worked on the development of this natural product for years, with clinical evidence that helps people to maintain their skin under normal conditions, without skin irritations, scaling and other symptoms that many people suffer daily”, Andrés Garrido, CEO of Solvitae Medical.
Illnesses such as pscoriasis show a very unpleasant symptomatology that manifests itself with itching, irritation, scaling and which also carries psychological problems by influencing its quality of daily life. One more alternative is to mitigate and alleviate these symptoms in a natural way that helps them to maintain the skin under normal conditions. “This prize is a significant success for us, especially knowing the enormous competition that exists in today’s market. We have managed to identify an application in which there are hardly any natural oral products, which means having a distinctive value. However, the most satisfying is not only the prize, but help many people thanks to Alyvium®”. “We are very grateful to all the people who have given us their support by voting for our nomination”. “Collaborate in the development of Alyvium® with Solvitae has been a pleasure because, from the beginning, there was a special motivation because the promoters of this company suffer from psoriasis and its symptoms. This made the motivation even more personal. Genosa collaborates very closely with its clients, exploring new fields of applications of the polyphenols on the olive tree”. Carlos Peña, CEO of Genosa.
