BIC Euronova ranked Spain’s top entrepreneurship hub by the Financial Times

BIC Euronova, the European Business and Innovation Centre (BIC) in Malaga, has been recognised by the Financial Times (FT) for the second consecutive year in its ranking of Europe’s 180 most outstanding entrepreneurship hubs. This places BIC Euronova first in Spain and 18th in Europe.

Compared with the previous year, BIC Euronova has moved up from second to first place nationally, and from 22nd to 18th in Europe. In addition, the FT ranking places BIC Euronova 9th in Europe for business mentoring and 11th for office space and facilities.

BIC Euronova, the European Business and Innovation Centre (BIC) in Malaga, has been recognised by the prestigious British financial newspaper the Financial Times in its ranking of the 180 best entrepreneurship and innovation hubs in Europe. BIC Euronova is ranked first in Spain and 18th in Europe. 

This achievement, for the second consecutive year, reinforces BIC Euronova’s position as a leading centre supporting entrepreneurship and the creation, consolidation and internationalisation of innovative companies in Europe.

The ranking, published today by the Financial Times, highlights BIC Euronova for its ability to strengthen the start-up ecosystem and for its role as a pioneering European Business and Innovation Centre in Malaga. This recognition follows a rigorous evaluation of leading entrepreneurship hubs in around 40 countries, assessing factors such as the number of companies supported and incubated, job creation, access to capital, impact on the local business community, business consolidation, networks and international reach.

With 34 years of experience promoting business innovation, BIC Euronova has established itself as a regional benchmark for entrepreneurs, SMEs and innovative companies seeking to develop new ideas and solutions. In addition, its links with international networks, universities and research centres are essential to the growth of a strong and dynamic ecosystem.

The ranking was prepared by the Financial Times in collaboration with the data company Statista. It includes input from entrepreneurs supported by each participating hub and an external expert committee of investors and entrepreneurs selected by the organisers. The performance, growth and consolidation of the start-ups and companies supported by these centres were also assessed.
