BIC Euronova ranked Spain’s top entrepreneurship hub by the Financial Times

BIC Euronova, the European Business and Innovation Centre (BIC) in Malaga, has been recognised by the Financial Times (FT) for the second consecutive year in its ranking of Europe’s 180 most outstanding entrepreneurship hubs. This places BIC Euronova first in Spain and 18th in Europe.

Compared with the previous year, BIC Euronova has moved up from second to first place nationally, and from 22nd to 18th in Europe. In addition, the FT ranking places BIC Euronova 9th in Europe for business mentoring and 11th for office space and facilities.

AIR-Andalusia to open its first call for services for SMEs, mid-cap companies and public bodies in April 2026

On 17 February, the AI building at the University of Granada (UGR) hosted the technical launch meeting (kick-off) of AIR-Andalusia, Andalusia’s European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) specialising in artificial intelligence and applied robotics, of which BIC Euronova is a partner.

Coordinated by the AI Granada Research & Innovation Foundation, the project has a budget of over €5 million and is 50% co-financed by the European Union under the Digital Europe Programme.

The event brought together representatives from the 20 consortium member organisations, marking the official start of an initiative that will run until January 2029. Its aim is to accelerate the digital transformation of Andalusia’s business base, with a particular focus on SMEs, mid-cap companies and public administrations.

Eventwall project wins the CiberEmprende programme promoted by BIC Euronova in collaboration with INCIBE

BIC Euronova, the European Business and Innovation Centre of Malaga, has successfully accelerated 17 entrepreneurial projects as part of the CIBEREMPRENDE programme.

As a result of this edition, BIC Euronova awarded a total of €5,000 in financial prizes to the three most outstanding projects: €3,000 for the first prize awarded to Eventwall, €1,500 for the second prize awarded to Seritra, and €500 for the third prize awarded to the Safe project.

In addition to being eligible for financial awards, the 17 participating entrepreneurs took part in the incubation programme at BIC Euronova, which included a structured training and mentoring plan.
