La marca EIBT reconoce a aquellas empresas que operan en alguno de los sectores de alta tecnología que realizan inversiones en I+D superiores a la media de otros sectores y además tienen un producto innovador. Dicha marca distingue a las EIBT como la clave del proceso de optimización del conocimiento y la tecnología, en el que la actividad científica y tecnológica se transfiere al mundo empresarial.

The mark EIBT is a recognition from the National Association of Spanish BICs (ANCES) supported by the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness.

The Malaga’s Company Aganova has gained the EIBT mark, recognised accreditation by the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness, which is property of the National Association of Spanish BICs (ANCES) and that distinguishes it at national level as Innovative Technology-Based Company (EIBT).

The mark IBT recognizes those companies that operate in some of the high-tech sectors that make investments in I+D above other sectors average and besides have an innovative product. Such mark distinguishes the EIBT as key of the knowledge and technology optimization process, in which the scientific and technological activity is transferred to the business world.

Aganova, with an office in the Technological Park of Andalusia, sets its bases in the innovation and sustainability, with the capacity of providing technological solutions in order to detect leaks in the distribution and water transport networks. Aganova opts for I+D as the tool for a continuous business evolution with an overview of converting its Nautilus system in a technological standard for the leak water detection in large diameter networks.

During the delivery of the mark EIBT to Aganova, Álvaro Simón de Blas, president of ANCES and general director of BIC Euronova, emphasized “the importance that involves the fact that companies from Malaga are distinguished at a national level with this kind of recognition”; “it is a satisfaction to see how they are on the top of the technological base innovation in different productive sectors”.

21 companies of Malaga with the mark EIBT

Nowadays there are 20 rcognised companies with the EIBT mark in the province of Malaga: Entersoftweb, Ihman, Naoset Sistemas, Netblue Ingenieros, Nerea, Aquaculture Solution Biotech, Probio, Ingelabs y Brain Dynamics, Innova Drill, Pesyr I+D, and Agrolaboratorios Nutricionales, Torsa Clock and Melomics, DHV Technology, Eneso and Métrica6, among others, to which has join as well Aganova.
From the 21 distinguised companies in Malaga, 8 of them have a SPIN-OFF award of the University of Malaga, which shows a stretch vinculation between the University and the creation of companies in Malaga. Besides, 11 of this companies have been incubated in the European Business and Innovation Centre of Malaga, BIC Euronova

Aganova

Aganova, which started its activity in 2008, is an expert in leak detention in both pipes with a small diameter of the water distribution network and pipes with a large diameter of the water transport network. Aganova uses standard tools available in the market as geophone, correlators, loggers and trace gas, all of them provided by Sewerin for the leak detection in the distribution networks (pipes until 250 millimetres of diameter.

For pipes with a large diameter, Agnova has developed Nautilus, which is able to detect leaks and to give necessary information from the inside of the pipe in an efficient and effective way. It is a technological solution that minimizes the Non-Revenue Water (NRW) in the world and that works in the sustainability of the planet’s enhancement through prevention and prediction of water leaks. With the aim of being a reference in the sector, Aganova unify all technologies in order to detect any kind of leak and in the most quick and efficient way for our clients.

For this purpose, Aganova collaborates with several distributors globally so that they can provide the best technology and innovation to the water utility, with distribution agreements of the technologies with international suppliers as the ones in the previous figure. As a milestone in its international development stands out the implementation of its branch Aganova America, in the USA/Canada in 2016, which is especially significant due to the size of the market. Likewise, stand out the business representation’s signing of agreements with Canada, Chile, Mexico, Arab Emirates, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Arabia Saudi, Bahrein, Jordan, Cuba, Colombia, Italy and England.

Aganova promotes the awareness in saving water and sustainability, by assuring through the use of leak detection tools as Nautilus less water leakage at all levels (industry, agriculture, consumption, etc.), given that the water sector is a critical infrastructure with high political, economic and social value.

EIBT (Innovative Technology-Based Company)

The EIBT Project, led by ANCES and supported by the Minister of Industry, Economy and Competitiveness, started in 2001 as a help to the creation and consolidation of Innovative Technology-Based Company. Such project counts with BIC Euronova, the European Business and Innovation Centre of Malaga, as local partner from its beginnings. This project has worked with BIC Euronova with the idea of invigorating the technological framework of the province; improving the employment through the creation of companies that produce added value; strengthening the mechanisms that serve as bridge between productive investigation and innovation; systematizing a working method for all the CEEIs that participate and lastly generating the brand EIBT and spreading its concept too.

National Association of Spanish BICs (ANCES) since 2009, has always supported innovative companies from Malaga in order to get that mark EIBT, in its job as local partner of the project.
